Aktina Stathaki is a theater practitioner and researcher. She is a graduate of the National Greek Theater [1999] and holds a PhD in Drama from the University of Toronto [2009]. She has performed, among others, with the National Greek Theater, Artword Theatre, AfriCan Theatre Ensemble and trey anthony productions. She has previously directed: The Song of Arete (a physically-based staging of a Greek folk poem, for the Festival of Original Theatre, University of Toronto), F. G. Lorca’s The Love of Don Perlimplin and Belisa in the Garden (Robert Gill Theatre) and One Night The Rain…with Les Manouches. She has worked with the South African Theater Journal at the National Art Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa, with the International Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece, and with the Joyce Theater in New York City. She has published numerous articles in journals and conferences on theater theory and practice. She initiated and is the Artistic Director of Between the Seas Festival of Mediterranean performing arts.

Jerome Simeon is a pianist and computer researcher by day. He has performed as an independent musician as a solo performer and with various groups in his native Paris and in New York where he currently lives and works. His first theatre collaboration was with Les Manouches and One Night, The Rain….
